Role Overview:


We have a vacancy in the CloudM Product Team for a talented and ambitious designer to help us design and enhance the UX & UI of the CloudM platform.

CloudM empowers IT teams to migrate, archive and backup data through frictionless, secure and automated products. Making migrations easy, improving data compliance and reducing costs.


Responsibilities:


Understanding the User:

Conduct user research through interviews, surveys and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points and goals.

Analyse user data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Develop user personas to represent different user types and their needs.


Designing the User Experience (UX):

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand and influence the product vision and roadmap.

Design user flows and customer journey maps to visualise the user's experience throughout the product.

Create wireframes, mockups and prototypes to translate design ideas into interactive experiences.

Ensure the design is user-centred, intuitive and easy to navigate.

Continuously test & refine the CloudM experience through a data-driven approach.

Design & enhance the CloudM user journeys and contribute to the wider service design.

Implement and maintain a UI design library using modern web development tools.

Contribute ideas and opinions to designs before and during development.


Communication and Collaboration:

Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to product managers, engineers and other stakeholders.

Collaborate to create a visually appealing and consistent user interface.

Present design work and iterate based on feedback.

Champion a positive and efficient user experience throughout the entire design and development process.


Work closely with the product stakeholders to shape and define new features and both highlight and mitigate the delivery risks.


Staying Informed:

Keep up-to-date on the latest UX trends and best practices for SaaS products.

Understand design thinking methodologies and user-centred design principles.

Be aware of business goals and how design can contribute to achieving them.


Skills and Experience:


Key Skills:

2+ years of experience as an UX & UI Designer or similar role.

Demonstrable experience working in digital product development.

Problem solver with a systems and pattern thinking approach to product design.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to plan, conduct, and execute user-centred UI/UX designs and prototypes.

Familiar working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms.

Ability to organise your own work and work independently.

Determination to meet deadlines whilst delivering the highest quality of work.


A strong ability to understand and empathise with users' needs and frustrations to create solutions that truly address user problems.


Desirable Skills:

An awareness of cloud computing and the productivity suite market.
