Ludlow Hospital is currently recruiting to multiple Healthcare Assistant roles.

The post holder will assist and support other members of the ward team in giving care to patients within a designated area, under the supervision of a qualified nurse.

Implement all aspects of direct care including personal hygiene, toileting, moving and handling to ensure they are safely and comfortably positioned and assisting the patient to mobilise whilst maintaining the safety of both patient and nurse.

Assist with the admission and discharge of patients with due regard to organisational policies and procedures.

Escort patients to other departments or areas for treatment, investigation or rehabilitative purposes.

Observe patient's condition and behaviour reporting changes promptly and accurately.


Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too.

These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
