    Description

    As a member of the payments legal teamyou will provide support to internal stakeholders, including the Commercial,Product, Operations and Finance teams, assisting with the launch of newinitiatives and products.

    What you will do

    Drafting and negotiating complex payments agreements, providing commercial and regulatoryadvice to achieve the best negotiated outcomes for the business.

    Working with team members on issues that arise in existing commercial relationships andhandling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

    Supporting the internal paymentsgovernance committee, interacting with key stakeholders to ensure compliancewith regulatory obligations.

    Monitor, report and advise on legal andregulatory issues affecting the business including its regulated entities.

    Advise on new and emerging legal andregulatory developments impacting payment platforms including identifyingtrends and potential impacts on business activities; proactively monitor andreview legislation in order to help ensure accurate and up-to-date inventoriesof all legal obligations.

    Experience:

    · Significantexperience drafting and negotiating complex agreements in the payments arena

    · Experience advising on payments, digital wallets, payment processing and platforms including applicable law and regulations

    · Law degree and excellent academic credentials

    · PQE working in payments at a leading law firm

    · Familiarity with, and strong interest in, payments technology, mobile and alternative payments, Open Banking, as well as emerging technology
