    ROLE DESCRIPTION
    The Head of Tax has overall responsibility for all taxes and duties within the Certas Energy UK group.
    This includes ensuring the effective tax governance of the group, full compliance with all statutory obligations as well as providing a broad range of tax advice across all areas of tax and duty.
    The Head of Tax will be the main point of contact for the business, HM Revenue & Customs, DCC group tax and internal/external auditors on all tax related matters. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that the group has effective tax governance policies and procedures to ensure that all areas of tax are effectively managed in line with the group tax strategy.
  • Responsible for management of all indirect tax and duty related returns, processes and advice.
  • Ensuring that the group as effective processes and controls in respect of the RDCO legislation.
  • Responsible for management of corporation tax compliance, tax reporting and transfer pricing for the UK group.
  • Responsible for leading the tax workstream for a range of M&A deals.
  • Responsible for the review of the PSA and providing advice on a range of employment tax matters.
  • Responsible for the management of a small team.
  • Providing clear and concise reports and updates to senior management.
  • SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Accountant and/or Tax Advisor
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of legislation and ability to research new areas
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work on own and as part of a team.
