Team Description:


The Global Fund Accounting Trade Capture is a dedicated team based in Manchester and part of a Global team of five locations in Pune, Chennai, Lake Mary, Wilmington and Manchester.

The Trade Capture function is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of all Client and Fund Manager Instructions into the daily accounts against intraday deadlines.

There is approximately 45 staff split over the 4 Fund Accounting Trade Capture teams, offering a range of roles from Administration Officer, Senior Administration Officer, Team Supervisor, and Section Manager through to Group Manager.


Job Purpose:


Responsible for ensuring timely processing of all Client trade instructions & internal controls against intraday deadlines, adhering to agreed procedures and departmental objectives in order to safeguard against any financial or reputational loss alongside providing high levels of quality service and minimising risks to the organisation.


The role offers a variety of duties and responsibilities including exposure to complex market instruments, interdepartmental relationship building across areas such as Fund Accounting, Valuations, Corporate Actions, Data Management and Client Delivery.

There are opportunities to become involved with project-based activities and the review of new and existing processes and controls.

It involves understanding the processes, controls, procedures and systems operating within the team.

It also involves being proficient in carrying out designated functions and perform duties to a high standard, ensuring we provide accurate and timely services to other teams and clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Complete and daily administration of the Investment Manager trade instructions and internal controls.
  • Query Resolution receive, instigate and resolve queries from other operational areas, thereby ensuring the ongoing support of the clients' needs and reduction in potential impact
  • Ensure that all Net Asset Value (NAV) support team provides accurate and timely service to all internal parties
  • Monitor daily processes and controls to ensure procedures are being adhered to.
  • Understand the theoretical and technical nature of all asset types
  • Work with line management on the rollout of services to new funds and ensure smooth transition of additional centralised functions.
