Description
We are currently partnering with a Cornish company, one of the largest in their field, seeking a Finance Manager on a 12-month maternity cover.
This position will provide financial support to the Senior Management Team and Board, providing accurate financialand operational information.
This will be a varied position reporting into the Financial Controller with a dotted reporting line to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of the month end close process and preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Preparation of the budget and quarterly forecasts
- Cash management, including tracking of Direct Debits and petty cash reconciliation
- Management of the capital expenditure programme, preparation of CAPEX appraisal forms and ownership of the asset register
- Sales invoice processing
- Check the pay report fortnightly, reconcile with the payroll report
- Liaise with Group Finance Team and Senior Management to resolve any credit control queries
- Update items, sales prices, cost of sales standards
- Raise Purchase orders for general areas of expenditure
- Maintenance of hire equipment schedules
- Assist Group Finance with annual statutory audit and annual insurance renewal
- Part or newly qualified accountant desirable (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Strong ERP systems knowledge
- Conversant with all Microsoft Office programmes, particularly advanced Excel
