We are currently partnering with a Cornish company, one of the largest in their field, seeking a Finance Manager on a 12-month maternity cover.

This position will provide financial support to the Senior Management Team and Board, providing accurate financialand operational information.


This will be a varied position reporting into the Financial Controller with a dotted reporting line to the Managing Director.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Management of the month end close process and preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of the budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Cash management, including tracking of Direct Debits and petty cash reconciliation
  • Management of the capital expenditure programme, preparation of CAPEX appraisal forms and ownership of the asset register
  • Sales invoice processing
  • Check the pay report fortnightly, reconcile with the payroll report
  • Liaise with Group Finance Team and Senior Management to resolve any credit control queries
  • Update items, sales prices, cost of sales standards
  • Raise Purchase orders for general areas of expenditure
  • Maintenance of hire equipment schedules
  • Assist Group Finance with annual statutory audit and annual insurance renewal
  • Part or newly qualified accountant desirable (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong ERP systems knowledge
  • Conversant with all Microsoft Office programmes, particularly advanced Excel
