Full-time Visual Media Arts Cover Supervisor Wanted for Outstanding Secondary School in Greenwich


Are you passionate about the visual arts and media? Do you have the skills and knowledge to inspire students in art, film, media studies, and photography? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Visual Media Arts Cover Supervisor to join our outstanding secondary school in Greenwich.

Position:
Full-time Visual Media Arts Cover Supervisor


Times: 8.15am - 3.30pm; Mon - Fri

Responsibilities:


  • Provide cover lessons for absent teachers in Art, Film, Media Studies, and Photography, delivering preplanned lessons and ensuring students' engagement and progress.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and inspiring environment for artistic expression.
  • Support students in developing their technical skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Collaborate with the Arts department to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of resources for visual media arts lessons.
  • Although based in the Visual Arts department, all cover supervisors are expected to cover across the whole school depending on the needs on the day

Requirements:


  • A genuine passion for the visual arts, film, media studies, and photography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
  • Experience working with secondary school students, preferably in an arts education capacity.
  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions.
