We have an exciting opportunity to join our warehouse facility in Preston. Working alongside our team of dedicated warehouse, customer service and production teams.


What you will do:


  • Manage the internal flow of materials from receiving and warehousing of raw materials and packaging materials to warehousing and shipping finished goods.
  • Manage customer orders, including export and customer collections
  • Prepare all necessary documentation/labelling related with the shipping process both nationally and internationally
  • Identify and liaise with appropriate carriers considering the characteristics of each order such as: destination; quantity; lead time and transport conditions
  • Negotiate with various transport service providers in order to get the best rate
  • Ensure timely delivery of packed and bulk orders
  • Perform all necessary inventory management transactions using SAP
  • Manage internal forklift/reach truck transportation needs
  • Ensure warehouse and site is maintained in good order
  • Support and manage the team
  • Ensure all quality, environment and health and safety standards are maintained and recorded accurately
  • Coordinate inventory counts at the site and cycle counting activities to ensure inventory (finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials and WIP)is as accurate as possible

Your Profile:


You are a highly motivated Warehouse Team Leader, with
great SAP skills and
experience in the handling of Dangerous Goods within a Warehouse environment.


  • Experience of using SAP
  • Min. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in a large scale, manufacturing warehouse facility
  • Experience in management of national and international transportation/delivery routes
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent attention to detail and compliance with set procedures
  • FLT/Counterbalance and Reach Truck license/proficiency

Strong communication and team leader skills:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
