- Access School is not your run of the mill school. We find creative ways to work with very special children, who, for a variety of reasons, struggle with mainstream schools.

So, if you are resilient, fun loving and have experience of working with young people who may display challenging behaviours we want to hear from you.
- It will be your role to compliment teachers' delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, students and school policies and strategies. To work with teaching staff to facilitate outdoor educational activities, physical education and educational visits. To enhance educational experiences for pupils through the effective planning and assessment of enrichment activities alongside the teaching staff.
Responsibilities:
- Fully plan and risk assess all enrichment activities with the support of teaching staff.
- Develop and prepare resources for learning activities in accordance with lesson plans and in response to student need.
- Contribute to the planning of opportunities for students to learn in outofschool contexts in line with school policies and procedures.
- Within an agreed system of supervision and within a predetermined lesson framework, teach whole classes covering PPA.
- Provide detailed verbal and written feedback on lesson content, student responses to learning activities and student behaviour, to teachers and students.
- Motivate and progress students' learning by using clearly structured, interesting teaching and learning activities.
- Be familiar with lesson plans, IEP targets and learning objectives.
- Hold a current valid full driving licence.
- Have experience of working with SEND/MLD and complex needs.
- Experience of leading activities outdoors.
- Experience of motivating and engaging challenging children and young people to achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
- Knowledge of first aid and experience in risk assessing outdoor activities.
- Detailed knowledge of Child Protection procedures Working Together 2015 and Keeping Children Safe in Education 201
- Happy to undergo an enhanced DBS certificate upon appointment
