    About the opportunity

    Due to Nova's continued growth in 2022 and into 2023, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio, Programme, Project (P3M) Professional to join our consulting team whilst working on site with clients both in the UK and Northern Europe, but with an initial focus on the South of England.

    The successful candidate will be confident working on client sites, participating in programme/project management and business transformation, alongside broader aerospace and defence consulting activities. We're looking for somebody who has recent experience of managing and supporting projects and programmes in the UK defence or aerospace sector, in particular within the Ministry of Defence, operating in P3M leadership, management and delivery.

    What will I be involved in:

  • Delivering P3M using accepted methodologies, but also providing value through a flexible approach.
  • Delivering outcome-focussed projects and programmes using various management techniques in Organisational Governance, Benefits, RAIDO, Stakeholders & Comms, Management Information & Reporting, Finance, and Resources.
  • Development of Investment Decision Business Cases at all stages of the Project/Programme Lifecycle
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and customers on complex issues including the delivery of strategy or large-scale change.
  • Work with stakeholders, capture, develop, manage and coordinate complex requirements sets, including defining robust metrics and acceptance criteria.
  • What are we looking for?

  • Industry or government experience in Defence, Aerospace, Engineering or a similar sector.
  • Previous experience in a P3M position.
  • At least one of the following qualifications: APMPQ, Prince 2, Certificate or Diploma in Project and Programme Management (DPPM), Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Management of Portfolios (MoP), or equivalent experience in this area.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Current UK Security Clearance, or the ability to achieve one
