Here at RCE Wellbeing Hub we believe everybody can live a good life, managing their own health and wellbeing, moving towards their own recovery in relation to their own aspirations despite any possible ongoing health challenges.


This is a unique opportunity to become a Health Trainer within the RCE Wellbeing Hub supporting students to be active in their own recovery.

Working alongside peer trainers you will bring your knowledge and skills as a qualified health professional to co-design and co-deliver recovery focused courses whilst role modeling our ethos of Hope, Control and Opportunity.


This post is offered as a permanent contract of 30hours per week and is offered as a hybrid model of working between office and home.


We have Hubs in Peterborough and Cambridge and therefore travel across both bases and the Cambridgeshire are will be expected.


We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering people to live well with their mental and physical health, despite any ongoing symptoms that may or may not be present.


You will be utilising your lived experience, alongside your health knowledge and skills in delivering courses alongside a co-facilitator who will have lived experience of mental/physical health challenges.


You will also provide the health expertise by co-designing new courses to widen our offer of topics to our students who come from a varied background.


Finally there will be the opportunity to support our development of an outcome measure to provide evidence of the impact our sessions have on our students who attend.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services not only via inpatient and primary care setting but also with the community.

These services include Children, Adult & Older Peoples mental & physical health, Forensic & Specialist mental health, Learning Disabilities, Primary Care & Liaison psychiatry, Substance misuse, Social care, Research & Development.

  • To ensure that an agreed programme of learning is delivered in line with the RCE Wellbeing Hub prospectus.
  • To effectively engage and utilise the specialist skills and expertise of all disciplines (health and peers) and contribute to the delivery of recovery college training activity, as appropriate.
  • To provide support and guidance to those core staff that are responsible for assisting in the delivery of RCE Wellbeing Hub training courses - for example associate trainers/ volunteers/ other tutors.
  • To maintain links with professional forums, both internal and external to CPFT.
  • To assess, plan, develop and deliver on a comprehensive range of specialist training courses for the RCE Wellbeing Hub within Cambridge and Peterborough Foundation Trust taking in to account the needs of our students.
  • To act as point of contact for advice, support and training on any issues relating to the RCE Wellbeing Hub from students and staff in the organisation
