About your new role as Part-time Sales and Customer Advisor:

You'll visit customers' homes, all pre-qualified, no cold calling, to look at their soft furnishing cleaning requirements and prepare an on-site quotation.

You're the face of the company on each home visit.

So we'll be relying on your professional and friendly personality, as we never want potential customers to feel you're selling 'at' them.


We'd expect you to take some measurements which will involve some bending and stretching, plus accurately complete the quotation form by hand (easy to read handwriting essential) and perhaps even have a cup of tea and biscuit.


Calling customers over the phone from our office will also be part of your new job as the Part-time Sales and Customer Advisor.

Your confident and conversational telephone manner will stand you in good stead.


Building relationships with local retailers who recommend us to keep us in their mind is also part of your role.

Have a chat, pop by with a treat and nurture those relationships, and this will help keep those referrals coming in.


About the Company
We are a family run soft furnishing and floor care company established in 2001.

In simple terms, we clean Carpets, Upholstery, Leather furniture, Rugs and Hard Floors in domestic and occasional commercial properties throughout Bedfordshire and North Herts.

We're professional but by no means are we corporate.

You'll have the following skills, expertise and personality to thrive in those role:

  • _
    Sales and customer service experience_ _which ideally involved home visits, or lots of face to face, non-salesy, sales experience with homeowners and consumers._
  • You love hitting, and exceeding, sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and people skills both face to face and over the telephone.
  • You love making the followup calls after a home visit turning prospects into happy customers makes your day.
  • You're highly organised.
  • Ability to use your own initiative there are times you must think on your feet.
  • You have a knack at memorising product information and can match the right product to the right customer.
  • Full clean driving licence this is a nonnegotiable.
  • Competent in Word & Excel and have basic computer skills.

You must be a dog lover, Maggie is our office dog and she has the final say on who gets this role.


What we are not looking for?

  • Someone whose only interest is in hard selling.
  • Someone who has never worked in a similar role.
  • Someone who isn't interested in happy customers a sale at any cost is not what we're about.

The details - what's in it for you?

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
/PAYE


Part-time hours:4 days per week / 32 hours per week


Salary:
Up to £25,500 per year - this is the full-time salary


Pro-rated salary: 80% of full-time = £20,400 per year based on 4 days per week


Bonus:
£3000 t0 £9000 per year (paid monthly)
