    Resource Planning Manager – Optical & Audiology

    As part of their growth strategy, we are assisting them in recruiting a talented Resource Planning Manager to oversee their retail operations.

    As the Resource Planning Manager for Optical & Audiology, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient resource allocation and strategic planning across our clinics.

    Your expertise in resource management and strategic analysis will be essential in optimising team forecasting, rota scheduling, and operational efficiency.

    Utilise strategic analysis and commercial acumen to develop short-term and long-term team forecasting for Optical & Audiology across all clinics.


    • Employ planning tools and software to align rota schedules with Game Plans, making informed decisions to support clinic requirements.
    • Develop rota schedules a minimum of 3-months in advance, adhering to operational parameters, and proactively identify resourcing gaps, proposing initiatives to address them.
    • Facilitate weekly resource meetings with key stakeholders to address immediate clinical needs and provide forward-looking insights.
    • Prepare and present monthly and annual reports for senior leaders, analysing budget variations, team provisioning, locum costs, and sickness levels.
    • Analyse data to support resource requirements within the Game Plans and operational budgets.
    • Ensure resource levels are aligned with budgetary constraints to achieve Optical & Audiology Game Plans and Operational Goals (OGS).
    • Generate clear Management Information (MI) using visual and data-driven dashboards/presentations to guide stakeholder decision-making.
    • Experience of live operations to react promptly to the demands across the network to maximise efficiencies.
    Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or retail industry.

    • Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and transportation.
