WHAT TO EXPECT

Event Vehicle Operations (EVO) primary purpose is to deliver Jaguar & Land Rover vehicles, promptly and in optimum condition, to a broad range of Business requirements.

The scale ranges from individual vehicle loans for priority journalists, up to large scale fleets to support New Model Launch Events or significant marketing needs.

The Department provides a comprehensive External Events service globally; manages vehicle fleets for internal customers e.g. Press; UK NSC, Photographic, Launch Fleets, and all major Motor Shows.
- skilled teams including Material Planners, Parts Controllers and Analysts.

You'll be working in conjunction with Workshop Supervisors, Engineers, the Events Team and the Event Vehicle Operations Logistics Centre to ensure required materials and equipment are in place to support launch and service activities.

You'll manage planning for all external events, equipment and materials, ensuring that robust plans are maintained, to facilitate a simultaneous support for the multiple events.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Proactively assist the Logistics Supervisor in all aspects of Health, Safety and employee Welfare predominantly within the Logistics Centre through weekly Safety Behavioural Index analysis, hazard spotting and reporting,
Understand and assist the timely closure for CCAR's, supporting the Supervisor with robust Root Cause
Analysis, containments identified, and counter measures implemented to drive continuous improvements
Plan and implement supply chain optimisation for new model launch activities.
Oversee inventory procedures and processes.
Foster trusting relationships with all suppliers, vendors and team members.
Collaborate with IT teams to define and implement effective systems
Collaborate with EVO engineering and planning teams to define rework instruction sheet (RIS), parts supply requirements
Create customs and excise / shipping documents to ensure robust global dispatch of parts and materials.
Ensure appropriate work group members have access to relevant consumables, parts, data, and tools within the working environment.
Point of escalation for any parts sourcing concerns from the Operations team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Understanding and effective engagement of JLR's Creator's Code
Strong organisational and planning skills. Methodical with excellent attention to detail
Leads & embraces change recognises & overcomes barriers to change
Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
Ability to manage risks and issues
Negotiation and adaptability skills
Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
Competency in Microsoft 365, specifically Excel
Experience in the logistics environment
Familiar with supply chain process

Desirable:

Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
Experience of operating with skilled workforce
Experience of operating in a Lean Environment
Commercially astute with an ability to understand the business function that this role supports
