Description

What is the Scholar Programme?

In 2019, we launched the Bacardi UK Supply Student Scholarship Fund because we want to give individuals the ability to see their full potential.

Therefore, the Bacardi UK Supply is supporting future talent through their University or College years via financial assistance (which we don't expect to be paid back to us).As part of our Student Scholarship Programme, you will acquire a range of skills, knowledge and valuable practical experience while you study.

You will rotate through various functions (such as distilling, bottling, supply chain, bulk, blending, new product development, procurement, finance, etc.) and work on projects at one of our 8 operational sites across the UK during your university summer holidays.

We will also assign a Mentor/Coach related to a specific field of Global Operations. At the end of your studies, we may both decide there is a longer-term opportunity in the Bacardi Family.
Programme details

  • Scholarship of £5,000 p.a. for up to 3 years while completing your studies.
  • Each award is paid to you in two instalments and will be net of tax (we pay the tax for you)
  • To continue to receive the annual scholarship award, up to a maximum of 3 times (i.e.

3 years of university), you will need to:

  • Achieve A or B grade (or equivalent) scores
  • Complete paid work placements at our operations sites (generally 812 weeks each year to happen during your University holiday periods)
  • Ensure you keep to the appointments/development goals as agreedupon with your appointed Bacardi mentor.
  • At the end of the award(s) period there is no requirement to pay back any of the money to Bacardi but we may both decide there is a longerterm opportunity in the Bacardi family, with the possibility of transitioning into our threeyear rotational Graduate Programme.

How to apply

The questions are:

  • What interests you about working for Bacardi Supply?
  • Bacardi has a very unique corporate culture and history. How do you live the '3 F's' (being Fearless, having a Founders Mentality, and treating others like Family)? Please share relevant examples from your personal, professional, or student life.
  • As part of Bacardi's BEST10 strategy, the consumer is at the heart of our business and one thing that is extremely important to Bacardi and the consumer is how we reuse or recycle our materials. During COVID19 many of our consumers have moved to purchasing our brands via digital channels and online, which impacts the amount of packaging materials that are required to distribute our products. Please tell us about the different ways we can reduce our packaging waste and increase recyclability of the products we sell within the digital space, to maintain the same level of standards expected by Bacardi?
