- Negotiate contracts, improve prices, terms of business and agreements with suppliers
- Quarterly supplier visits (mainly UK based)
- Run shortages reports to capture all order changes
- Consistent supplier contact to ensure efficient flow of product to match demand
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
- Update the Sales Team with delivery schedules
- Update the Sales Boards with supply information
- Ensure Purchase Orders are sent and received by vendors
- Add order acknowledgement information to MRP system
- Experience with Vendor Management
- Competent with MS Office, particularly Excel
- Proven experience as a Buyer
- Strong administrative background
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident working with internal and external customers
