Job IntroductionIn your role as either a
Mobile Catering Manager or
Mobile Catering Assistant
with us here at Sodexo
in Dagenham, Barking, Woodford Green, Ilford, Leytonstone, Wanstead, Totteridge (NW20) and NW10**, you will work within the catering teams at our esteemed schools, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and restaurant are operating efficiently.

Catering Manager, you will be the person your team looks to for guidance and support, you will have an impact on their day-to-day life and in turn, create a lively, productive work atmosphere.

What you do:
Catering Manager:
- Supervise the arrangement and provision of hot and/or cold food from counters and steam tables
- Supervise the restocking of food from counters and steam tables, as well as the breakdown of stations at the conclusion of service.
- Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
- Plan the menu, place supply orders, maintaining accounts and records when required (Must be Computer Literate)
- Ensure that workstations and equipment are sanitised.
Travel as and when required to sites providing support
Catering Assistant:
- Assist with set up and service of hot and/or cold meals.
- Sanitise and clean workstations and equipment.
- During meal times, serve and restock food from counters and steam tables, tidy up stations, and follow recipes or product instructions to estimate food requirements.
- Engage with students in the eating, retail, and serving areas.
Travel as and when required to sites providing support
What you bring:
Catering Manager:
- Capability to work for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) in a standing position.
- Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude
- Fundamental food handling abilities
- Possess prior experience supervising staff.
- Possess excellent time management abilities
- Previous experience in large scale cooking preferred however, not essential
Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.
Catering Assistant:
- Capability to work for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) in a standing position.
- Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude
- Fundamental food handling abilities
- Prior experience preferred, however, not essential
Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role.
