The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flowthroughout the clinic and assist providers in the management andtreatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety ofbackgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized careincluding infants children adolescents adults or geriatrics. Thefocus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative supportive anddelegated tasks as described in the Blaze Health Medical Assistantscope of practice. Delegable tasks and competencies are specific tothe role of the Supervising Nurse and Supervising Provider and aredescribed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Boardof Medical Practice. The Medical Assistant receives direction andcollaborates with the Clinic Supervisor Clinic Manager andProviders to meet the defined goals of the customer shiftdepartment and organization. Communication with the health careteam related to progress concerns questions or problems that ariseis an essential element of the Medical Assistant role.
