The Supply Room is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a brilliant school in Year 2 classroom starting in January 2024 in Hornsey.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, and committed to promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities:

Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons for Year 2 students.
Provide support to students with their learning and personal development, including assisting with activities and curriculum materials.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement.
Monitor and assess student progress, reporting any concerns or issues to the teacher.
Collaborate with the teacher and other members of the school team to achieve the best possible outcomes for all students.
Support students with special educational needs or individual learning requirements, following the guidance and strategies provided by the school.

Requirements:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and teaching methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
Ability to adapt and differentiate instructional approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
