    You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and interesting range of projects across different sectors in the field of engineering, hydrology, environmental technology and renewable energy.

    Collaborating with clients, you will contribute to helping achieve net zero sustainable solutions and outcomes on Clarkebond projects.

    You will receive support and guidance from engineers with many years of experience and be supported towards developing the relevant knowledge, skills and attributes expected of a professional member of a relevant body such as Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) or Chartered Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

    Undertaking flood risk assessments, due diligence investigations and other hydrological investigations/assessments and studies
    Undertaking environment impact assessments of projects in the water environment
    Producing SUDS & drainage strategies
    Performing hydrological and surface water runoff modelling and calculations
    Interpreting and utilizing hydraulic modelling data and flood risk mapping in flood resilience, resistance, and mitigation design
    Planning and organizing hydrological/drainage investigations, monitoring and surveys
    Liaising with clients, regulatory / statutory authorities and other stakeholders and formulating recommendations for sustainable development
    Contributing to planning applications, environmental appraisals, and technical reports
    On occasion, attending site visits and project meetings
    Relevant Geography, Engineering or scientific degree (e.g. Environmental Science, Civil Engineering)
    Awareness of current and emerging technical and planning guidance on the various areas of
    environmental sciences, hydrology / water environment and engineering, including issues of sustainability
    Relevant work experience or an industrial placement will be advantageous
    Knowledge of flood estimation handbook (FEH) and AutoCAD, GIS, PDS, ReFH, WINFAP-FEH skills would also be advantageous, however, full training will be provided
