    Description

    Responsibilities

  • Leading global, multi-functional teams on projects, fostering team accountability and ensuring the delivery of high-quality value.
  • Communicating effectively across all organizational levels and champion organizational change processes.
  • Developing strategies and direct teams ensuring that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are signed off. Proactively aim to achieve personal and team utilisation targets
  • Taking full responsibility for the definition (including governance structure), objective setting, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of medium scale projects with diverse scope. Facilitate scoping and business priority setting for complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required
  • Scoping of duties includes all phases of the project life cycle as well as project team management and possible budget administration
  • Tracking resources and assuring deliverables are met, negotiates effectively for key resources, and screens and selects Team Members
  • Taking responsibility for understanding client requirements seeking to fully address client needs, identifying, evaluating, and recommending options, plus the establishment of a baseline on which delivery of a solution can commence
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to project sponsors, team members, and other external/internal key stakeholders through various mediums
  • Ensuring that realistic project plans are maintained, ensuring regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use
  • Developing project plans using standard project management tools, ., MS project or project workbench
  • Using metrics and project plans to assess the success of the project and make necessary changes
  • Analysing relationships between problems and issues. Probe and initiates research to identify critical problems. Review and cross-review reports
  • Leading knowledge transfer and project post-mortem for lessons learned and improving best practices
  • Identifying and managing issues impacting delivery of projects. Establish clear goals and priorities needed to assess performance
  • Provision of regular reporting highlighting any relevant dependencies and risks to project sponsor/other relevant stakeholders
  • Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact
  • Adopting and applying appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards as directed by the PMO
  • Coach our teams to embrace flexibility and foster innovation while balancing firm standards and practices.
  • Engage and partner with stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and dependent teams in a multifaceted environment for effective teamwork and project success.
  • Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
  • An additional course or certification in Business Consulting, Project management (waterfall, agile)
  • Addtional Technical Certifications: Scrum Master, PMP, ITIL, SAFe, Azure, AWS

  • Knowledge of applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge. Has practical experience of and is proficient with project management tools and frameworks required to deliver
  • Knowledge of client/server architecture, object-oriented design/development, and package implementation
  • Co-ordination and planning skills - needs to be able to pull the "many strands together"
  • Strong skills in relationship/stakeholder management with the ability to deliver concise, influential and targeted communication
  • Proactive approach and prepared to "tackle issues"
  • Ability to think strategically as well as being able to focus on the detail
  • Experience

  • Experience of leading large scale transformation programs, involving business process and change, organization change, and multiple large-scale technology components
  • Experience as project manager, project manager, scrum master, scrum coach, or delivery lead.
  • Experience delivering diverse and large-scale projects in a large enterprise-scale environment.
  • Experience working with technical teams, architecture, and 3rd party suppliers/providers.
  • Project experience with Datacenters, Azure, AWS, GCP, networks, servers (Windows & Linux), application deployments
  • Project management lifecycle and experience with all stages of the product development lifecycle (concept to launch)
  • Applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solving problems
  • Providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries from junior colleagues
  • Using project management tools, tracking plans and actual statistics from inception through to implementation
