    With over 30 years' experience in retail, commercial, industrial installations and refurbishments, the Company has built a strong reputation for quality, efficiency and service.

    As part of our expansion programme we are currently looking to recruit a:

    HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

    Location:
    Office based in Peterborough, but will be visiting sites covering the UK

    Hours:
    Full Time – Mon – Fri 8am – 5.30pm

    Salary:
    Up to £52,000 pa Dependent on Experience
    Holidays: 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    This is a role which will combine the general management of Health & Safety compliance, along with implementing and monitoring of Company Policies & Procedures.

    The successful manager will be responsible for maintaining the high professional standards of the business.


    Key Accountabilities:

    • Verify the latest client drawings are on site and are being worked to by all contractors.
    • Make sure all Architects drawings are adhered to.
    • Check hire / off hire of plant – checking if it needs to be on site.
    • Liaising with the Project Manager to prepare information for the as built drawings.
    • Preparing information for the O&M Manuals in a timely manner.
    • Educate the Site Management Team on Health & Safety expectation.
    • Undertake full Health & Safety Audits and report findings to Senior Management.
    • Undertake a full working audit of each store visited, showing 'the good / bad & the ugly' & present to the Project Manager.
    • Implement an induction for each Site Manager to give to all site personnel to ensure consistency across the sites.
    • Check the sub-contractors RAM's to verify their accuracy and relevance.
    • Check the sub-contractors are working to their own RAM's and deal with the issue if they are not met.
    • Check for general site set up compliance (layout, fencing, parking etc).
    • Ensuring all Company Policies & Procedures are being adhered to within the office environment.
    • Review, comment upon and implement strategies o ensure good presentation is maintained throughout the business.
    • Prepare documentation for Contractor Competency Questionnaires.

    • Up to date knowledge of relevant H&S Legislation, NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum
    • At least 5 years experience of successfully managing Health & Safety in a construction environment.
    • Good attention to detail
