    Cranleigh STEM is recruiting a Project Engineer to join an innovative clean energy business at its state-of-the-art facility in Surrey.

    You will work as part of a cross-functional, highly motivated, dynamic, and rapidly growing team of engineers & scientists to develop and produce hydrogen solutions and fuel cell systems.

    Our client is the leading provider of Fuel Cell systems for the generation of clean energy, offering best-in-class performance and lowest operating cost as part of global efforts to decarbonise the industry.

    As they continue to grow, we're seeking a Project Engineer to join our team.

    The Role:

    You'll report to the principal project manager delivering various internal and external projects from concept to completion.

    You will own, coordinate, and complete assigned projects on time, within budget and scope. Oversee assigned fuel cell projects, including establishing project baselines, assigning responsibilities, providing project governance, and driving projects to completion.

    The Project Engineer will coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure projects are adequately resourced and prioritised in line with the business strategy.

    Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

    Role : Full-time, permanent

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
    • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs, following the change management process.
    • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
    • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
    • Perform risk, issue and opportunity management to minimise project risk, address issues and realise opportunities.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
    • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
    • Develop project plans to be shared with clients and other staff members.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in project management within an engineering environment.
    • Preferably hold a degree in an engineering discipline.
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
    • Degree Qualified in an Engineering Discipline.
    • APM PMQ, PMBP or PRINCE II certification.
