Service Acquisition Officer required to work from HOME for our public sector client.3 months - possible extension
Working from home primarily, however will be required to attend the office for some meeting/ 1:1 supervision and as required - Wandsworth area.
£20 - £25 per hour Umbrella.
Job Purpose
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for the efficient and effective micro-commissioning of
approaches.
- To manage and identify the most appropriate social care provider by working in
- To optimise contract and block services first.
- To negotiate the cost of straightforward packages of care and placements, to
effective use of dynamic purchasing systems, to deliver best value for money.
- To micro-commission placements on behalf of the NHS on request.
- To report to the Senior Commissioning Manager and / or Deputy Manager any
- To also use traditional communication modes to engage with the social care market
- To establish and maintain a good working relationship with social care providers to
- To ensure all relevant information/documentation is sent to the provider in relation
- To ensure all information recorded is accurate and any inaccuracies are escalated to
- To be responsible for collating market management information to enable you to carry
capacity, voids, provider costs and service type information. This information should
be presented to the Senior Commissioning Manager.

Knowledge and experience of adult social systems in a local authority setting
Good understanding of the brokering services for adults social care and the adult social care market
Knowledge of hospital discharges ( and reablement preferably, but not essential)
