Content Designer

UE06 £31,396- £ 36,024

Prospective Student Web Content Team, Communications and Marketing

Open ended,

Full time 35 hours per week
**Number of posts: 1

The Opportunity:

The Prospective Student Web Content Team manages all central website provision for prospective students and works with colleagues in a range of academic and service departments to continually enhance students' online experiences.

This role will involve collaborating within a small team of content designers working a range of projects, and setting standards for our approach to content design which will be adopted across the institution.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.

We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • You need to be open to learning about our users . We don't necessarily expect you to be experienced in human-centred design, but you need to care about whether the content you design really works. Be ready to get involved in user research and analytics to really understand student needs and show how you've changed online behaviours
-
You need to be committed to the discipline of content design . Again, you don't need to know everything but you do need to be ready to challenge and be challenged. Joining a dedicated team of content specialists will bring new opportunities and require editorial discipline. This is less about content creation and more about content curation.
