- Responsibility for Maintenance arrangements for asset upkeep to meet legislative and operating needs within target department
- Technical authority and maintenance leader for owned asset base
- Control maintenance of owned assets in a safe, reliable, and available status
- Arrange and oversee planned maintenance planning, preparation, execution and hand-back to production operations
- Review daily status of owned assets and proactively prepare plans to prevent unplanned outages
- Ensure asset performance in line with safety, quality, and productivity expectations
- Propose Capital Projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Cost control of annual maintenance spend.
- Control spare part requirements, repairable items and ensure stock levels match the need of the assets. Control and ensure asset documentation is updated and available for maintenance and facilities teams
- Work closely with production and planning groups to minimize disruption and maximise asset capacity. Ensure quality of maintenance services are at an acceptable level to meet business needs
- Lead root cause analysis into failures, following up actions through completion and to closure
- Recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, degree or equivalent. Minimum BTEC HNC in electrical engineering
- 18th Edition electrical qualification
- DSEAR/ATEX awareness
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and highly organised
- Familiarity of multiple engineering disciplines
- Full computer literacy and experienced with CMMS systems
- Strong understanding of UK legislation akin to a manufacturing facility. IOSH (managing safely) (desirable)
- COMPEX EX 1-4 (gas/vapours) and 5-6 (dust) (desirable)
- CAD qualification (desirable)
