We are currently looking for a Customer Service Supervisor to join our team.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the direct line management of a team of Customer Service Assistants and Customer Service Advisors.

Your leadership skills will support them in contributing to the success of the team.

You will contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Customer Service Centre Team by providing a seamless service to our Customers and positively contributing to the image of Staffordshire County Council


This includes:

  • Providing support, coaching and mentoring to members of the team and provide cover as directed.
  • Supervise Customer Service Advisors and Customer Service Assistants, conduct one to one meetings and the return to work interviews and supervise daily work tasks.
  • Provide formal training on systems and procedures.


Working as part of a team we expect you to use your voice to share your insights into how we can do things differently and innovate Customer Services.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in dealing with members of the public and has attention to Customer Care.
  • Has the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Has experience of coaching and supporting others.
  • Has the ability to adapt and promote change in a fast paced environment.
  • Is selfmotivated and has the ability to work under own initiative.
