Balloo House is a 30 bed residential care home for the frail/elderly over 65s. We are based on the ouskirts of bangor in Groomsport Co.
Down.

Balloo is a privately run family run home, we pride ourselves on running a home from home environment for our residents.

Balloo is currently seeking care assistants for night duties 8pm-8am, both part time and full time positions available.

Duties to include:

To ensure that all night documentation is completed and signed for;
Serving tea, coffee, traybakes and cakes for supper.
Interacting with our residents on a personal level
Helping our residents with personal support and care,
Support & encourage residents to maintain their independence with daily living;
Assisting washing and dressing residents;
Encouraging independence as much as possible;
Being aware and participating in the development of resident Care Plans and having full awareness of any specialist support needs.
Be understanding and patient towards residents and their needs;
To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information at all times.
Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant.
Keeping a close eye on the residents during the night, hourly checks.
Support an open, positive and inclusive working culture.

Requirements:

Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
Strong communication skills;
Caring nature;
Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents;;
Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally;
Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure;
A passionate individual ready to develop and learn new skills in order to progress in your role.
A flexible and proactive individual able to work in a team;
The right to live and work in the UK.
