Role Profile


The post is responsible for supporting the Asset Standards team in setting technical standards for component replacement and developing the performance management of Riverside's property portfolio.


The team's key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and setting technical asset policies and standards.
  • The consistent implementation and use of agreed policies and standards across all parts of the Riverside Group.
  • Developing and implementing meaningful performance measures.
  • Monitoring performance against the set targets and taking corrective action where targets not achieved.

Role requires you to:


  • To identify best practice and the latest thinking to develop policies for all aspects of Riverside's asset services.
  • To support the rollout and implementation of asset policies; related processes and technical standards consistently across all areas of Riverside's operation.
  • To support regular reviews to ensure that policies and processes continue to be relevant, meaningful and customer focused.
  • To assist the development and monitoring of meaningful performance indicators for all key service standards and business operations.
  • To work with the team to develop and implement performance standards for building technical standards and associated services.
  • To develop and monitor key performance indicators, processes and technical standards relating to assets across all areas of Riverside's operation.
  • To undertake regular reviews to ensure that performance and technical standards continue to be relevant, meaningful and customer focussed.
  • To monitor the consistent adoption and use of appropriate fixtures, fittings and components for Riverside stock.
  • To involve stakeholders (including tenants) in the development of standards.
  • Establish performance management systems, using targets and benchmarking information to monitor and improve performance delivery and value for money.
  • Where monitoring identifies poor performance, undertake reviews to identify the underlying causes and work with colleagues to identify the necessary improvement actions required to drive performance to the required level.
  • Promote excellence and continuous improvement throughout the Assets team.
  • Riverside expects to be a 'market leader' and this role will provide the support to ensure that our asset management thinking, planning and execution is at the forefront of the housing sector.
  • The post holder will be expected to be able to connect the importance of the day to day customer experiences to the 30+ year strategic investment plan for Riverside's assets.
  • The post holder will be expected to be a good team player, able to challenge conventional thinking and be passionate about achieving excellent outcomes for Riverside and its customers.
