    Description
    Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.

    We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer - Model Design to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility.

    In this role you will lead a skilled group of design engineers in delivering quality designed 60% model parts for Wind Tunnel testing, to support the aerodynamic performance development of the team's race cars.

    Management and responsibility of the Model Design Team.
    Lead the delivery of high-quality designed parts for Wind Tunnel testing.
    Management of the model design workload and meeting required targets.

    Management and responsibility for complete design projects, including part creation, management, checking, fault prevention and resolution, as well as project documentation.

    Lead the continuous improvements of the quality and functionality of the model parts/assemblies to improve the efficiency of the Wind Tunnel test program.

    Work closely with Aerodynamicists and Surface Design Engineers to ensure the delivered parts meet the specified requirements.
    Mentor junior members of the group and support pushing forward methodologies and modelling improvements.
    Implement and manage standard design practices, ensuring these are adhered to.
    Occasional travel may be required as part of this role.
    Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA).
    Strong knowledge and understanding of part quality, model layout and robustness.
    Ability to apply structural engineering techniques for part validation (FEA).
    Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques including composite manufacture and advanced digital manufacture.
    Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
