- Plan and deliver engaging English Literature and Language lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- To put into practice and present a curriculum that is suitably wide, balanced, pertinent, and differentiated for students and to support a specific curriculum area as necessary.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and students, and uphold positive relationships with all of them.
- Manage high levels of student attainment through strong leadership and supervision.
- To continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods.
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialise in teaching English Language and Literature to GCSE standard.
- Have at least 6 months of prior teaching experience which can be referenced from within the last 2 years (placements can be referenced for NQTs or ECTs).
- Be a motivational and innovative teacher, able to engage students of all abilities.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be open to completing additional training if required.
- Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
