Yournew role

We are looking for atalented individual with a background in Software Development tojoin our experienced operations team of Innovation FundingExperts.

This opportunity would ideally suitsomeone who has a 3 year background in Software Development lookingfor a new opportunity or a change of focus. The opportunity willenable you to use your technical knowledge and experience in acreative way across many sectors. This role will require you towork within a teambased consultancyenvironment.

It will also require you to havestrong technical report writing skills interpersonal andcommunication skills project management skills and clientrelationshipbuilding abilities. Business travel will also berequired to some extent.

MainDuties and Responsibilities

Therole will involve writing of R&D project descriptions forsoftware companies for R&D tax credit claims for submissionto HMRC. You will obtain the necessary information in discussionswith our clients within the software industry. You will also berequired to gather relevant background details to complementtechnical reports.

Full training will be providedon joining the company and initially you will be work closely withour Software team:

• Meet with clientsto gather business and project information (this can be eitherremotely or face to face).
• Develop a strongunderstanding of government guidelines / legislation and Revenueguidance in regard to R&D activity and critically assessclient projects.
• Produce technical andfinancial documentation to accurately and concisely support theR&D Tax Relief claim ensuring claims are concluded in atimely manner.
• Review and interpret theorganisations financial accounts with support from our Financedepartment.
• Engage with HMRC and prepareadditional financial and technical documentation as required if anenquiry is raised on a claimsubmitted.
• Maintain regular and effectivecommunications with client personnel during the claim process andensure clients are communicated with outside the claim period forimproved working relations.
• Completion ofinternal system on clientactivity.
• Participation in the onboardingprocess i.e. screening of prospects utilising knowledge andexperience to inform likelihood of aclaim.

EssentialCriteria

• 3 yearsSoftware Industry Experience
• Applicants musthave previous experience dealing withclients
• Proven experience of report writingskills
• Educated to a degreelevel
• Strong attention todetail
• Adept at using Microsoft Officepackages
