We require a Workshop Stores Supervisor to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in Bicester.

This is an interim position for 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.


Role Purpose:


  • Be responsible for the coordination, operation, alignment and standardisation of workshop stores across all Chiltern Transport Consortium (CTC) sites.
  • Overseeing all warranty claims, creating a standardised approach to maximise the value achieved from each claim submitted.
  • Supervise and assist Stores Administrators creating, policies and procedures to be worked to as a group.

Skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Warranty administration in a main dealer environment.
  • Stores experience.
  • Line management experience.
  • Process change experience.
  • Experience of using and updating databases and willingness to learn and maintain up to date knowledge of fleet and workshop software packages.
  • Ability to demonstrate process reengineering or create new processes to improve efficiency, productivity and standardised ways of working.
  • Supervisory / management qualification or equivalent experience in a supervisory / management role.
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of relevant health and safety legislation with reference to vehicle workshop activities. Experience of COSHH and willingness (if not already obtained) to attend courses and any subsequent refresher courses.


This role offers a competitive salary of
£17.91 per hour PAYE (Umbrella rate available)and you'll be working via
