Test Engineer // £50,000 // Fully Remote // FinTech


Xpertise Recruitment have recently partnered with a FinTech business to help hire a mid-level Test Engineer, on a fully remote basis.


This is a good opportunity for a Software Test Engineer, with some exposure to programming and test automation, to take the next step in their self-development journey and become more focussed on contributing to framework building as part of the job.

The Test automation stack is Microsoft focussed (C#, Specflow, Selenium, Azure) but prior knowledge of any OOP language is welcomed

Experience required:


  • Strong and demonstrable Functional test experience
  • Regression, UAT and nonfunctional testing understanding
  • Defect management experience including use of defect management tools
  • Good understanding of the SDLC
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Selfmotivated and proactive
  • Organised
  • Good Communicator
  • Flexibility in working hours based on project commitments
  • API testing/Postman experience
  • SpecFlow BDD/Cucumber experience _or_ understanding
  • C#/Java experience _or_ understanding
  • Selenium for UI testing
  • Understanding of Github actions
  • Azure understanding/experience

Experience desired:


  • Understanding of Git pipelines
  • Cross browser testing
  • Agile understanding/exposure
  • Framework building experience
