Hybrid 2 days office based / 3 days home working.

Simpson Judge are currently representing a fantastic Law Firm in Leicester who are looking for a Legal Cashier to join their established team.

Salary is dependent on experience.

The Role includes:

Processing account transactions, both inbound and outbound payments
Performing bank reconciliations to tally up bank accounts and books
Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports on the financial status of the law firm
Checking for errors and reporting any account breaches
Maintaining office and client ledgers
Reporting suspected account breaches or unauthorised activities via the appropriate channels
Liaising with relevant external parties, including clients, auditors, suppliers, banking providers, regulatory bodies and compliance officers
Submitting quarterly and yearend VAT returns for the organisation through the governments online portal
Previous experience as a legal cashier is preferable with interest within legal and accounting sector
Knowledge of basic banking processes and annual auditing processes
Proficiency with legal accounting software
Understanding of legal accounting rules and regulations
