    Description

    Bùth Chàrlabhaigh – Carloway's Community Shop - has been trading for almost a year, and we already have an excellent reputation.

    We are looking for an experienced cook to join our team to run our small Café and takeaway offering in a busy location on the westside tourist route. Our Café is frequented by locals and visitors alike and we pride ourselves in good quality, fresh food, and customer service.

    We are looking for a skilled person who can prepare delicious, homestyle food for our Café and for takeaway customers – for example, homemade soups, baking, sandwiches, and some modest but high-quality hot meals.

    Your duties would involve menu planning, ordering, preparing ingredients, serving, and being responsible for following all required food handling, safety, and food storage procedures.

    Hours and pay will be discussed in more depth at interview stage and will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Bùth Chàrlabhaigh pays above the Scottish Living Wage, and it is expected that shifts will be from 10am to 4pm. No Sunday working.

    You must have a flexible, positive, and customer focussed attitude and be able to run a modern state of the art kitchen.
