In this newly created role, your remit will include;

Ensure the Health and Standards of the project are consistently met
Play a key role in the site integrated H&S team
Give competent advice across a multifunctional / discipline project
Carry out all duties with full regard to all policies, plans and procedures
Build strong HSE relationships with Contractors
Monitor the working practices of employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment and welfare
Carry out HSE inspections across the site in line with the MEH Assurance Schedule
Undertake such additional tasks as are reasonably commensurate with the level of the post
Share best practices and lessons learnt from their area of responsibility to allow for continuous improvement
Proactively engage with site Safety Representatives
Conduct audits of MEH site activities and subcontractor operations.
Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements and the Assurance Schedule
Intervene when unsafe practices are observed, offer solutions to observations made.
Observe and record 'At Risk' & 'Reduce Risk' behaviours
Have a Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
Are NEBOSH qualified general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent.
Are IOSH or similar members.
Have a Strong construction or engineering background, used to working in a multidisciplined safety critical environment.
Have Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.
IT literate familiar with Microsoft packages.
