Our client, a large global private sector company in the passenger transport sector, is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to support international & UK tenders as well as help out on key internal and external projects.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

Developing simple analytical tools and models (for example in Excel) to aid decision making
Managing / interpreting large datasets, in particular of operational, performance, cost and revenue data
Carrying out independent and desktop research to understand new & existing environments, cultures or concepts
Developing and using basic project management tools to support the delivery of projects and programmes i.e. project plans, risk registers, action lists, stakeholder lists
Reviewing trends to forecast / estimate future changes
Manipulating/creating graphs, charts and reports in Excel
Creating diagrams to complement text in documents & papers

Skills required for this role:

Degree qualification mandatory, with a background in transport, engineering, economics, business, science or mathematics preferable
25 years' minimum experience in a similar company, industry or role
Strong MS Office, in particular MS Excel
Highly motivated team player with a positive & collaborative working attitude and a desire to learn and develop

Location - this is a hybrid role, 3 days per week from offices in Euston, London, and 2 days per week remote.

Occasional travel may be required.

Remuneration - this role is offering a basic of £37,000 - £42,000 plus company benefits, including a contributory pension and generous bonus scheme.
