    Origination Executive, Mid-Market Private Equity Fund

    The Opportunity:

    Finatal are working with a fantastic mid-market Private Equity fund who are looking to bring on a new Origination Executive to their outstanding team. This is a rare opportunity to experience and contribute to the entirety of the origination process, from researching and sourcing potential opportunities to outreach and beyond.

    Responsibilities:

    · Develop thematic investment thesis to identify platform opportunities as well as supporting portfolio companies with their inorganic growth plans.

    · Review and develop outputs from research team to ensure all key players in each market are identified, qualitatively and quantitively reviewed and prioritised.

    · Reach out to key stakeholders of interest to secure, and subsequently attend, meetings so that the fund can further its understanding of the targets, their fit for the fund and the stakeholder objectives. Ability to take clear, detailed notes and actions from meetings.

    · Manage quality and input of company, opportunity, and people data entered into internal CRM.

    · Support with production of marketing materials for meetings with CEOs, non-executives and others.

    · Develop and maintain superior market knowledge by attending relevant conferences, company meetings and other events.

    · Support the preparation of reports from CRM as required by key internal and external stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    · Minimum 2.1 degree from prestigious university.

    · 2-3 years work experience.

    · Prior experience and good track record in role(s) requiring the development and maintenance of external relationships – e.g. expert networks, commercial and business development role or senior executive head hunting.

    · Prior experience in role involving significant direct exposure to c-suite executives.

    · Prior experience working in or with Private Equity/Venture Capital.

    · Strong analytical skills, writing skills and IT skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).

    · Proactive nature, high levels of self-motivation and commitment.

    · Ability and willingness to work independently, often with minimal supervision.
