DNA require an experienced Supervisor looking for a long term opportunity to work in our client's busy food production facility.

Our client's products can be found in food retailers of all sizes up and down the country as well as being exported all over the world.

You would be responsible for the day to day running of the packing department as well as supervising the packing team.


Responsibilities

  • Inducting new starters and delivering ongoing training
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety guidelines are followed
  • Monitoring cleaning, packing, personal hygiene and Quality Assurance within Food safety Standards guidelines
  • Oversee completion of cleaning and QA records in line with Critical Control Point guidelines
  • Carry out Quality Control checks on packing including metal detection
  • Ensure traceability
  • Stock control of packaging and product

Skills and Experience

  • Food Production (desirable)
  • Supervisory role(s) in previous employment (2 years minimum)
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Communication written and oral
  • Time management own and that of the team
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Good attention to detail and able to work to a high standard within BRCGS guidelines
Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm plus occasional overtime to meet requirements. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times basic hourly rate.

Salary from £29,000 with 28 days holiday including public holidays. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and is reviewed annually.
