Anderson Knight are currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant for one of our long-standing clients based in Glasgow.
Our client is a prominent player in the hospitality industry, renowned for their exceptional service and commitment to delivering outstanding experiences to their customers.
As part of their continued growth and success, they are seeking and experienced Finance Assistant who will specialise in Sales Ledger.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, your duties will include:
- Record and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently in the sales ledger system.
- Reconcile sales records with receipts and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring timely payment and addressing any outstanding issues.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, credit notes, and statements in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve queries and address customer concerns.
- Assist with monthend closing activities related to the sales ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Generate financial reports related to sales and outstanding accounts as required by management.
- Support the Finance Manager in maintaining financial controls and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
- Assist in other financerelated tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of sales ledger processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising tasks effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problemsolving.
- A financerelated degree or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.

£25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
