Job Description

The Director of Procurement oversees the development and maintenance of an integrated approach to procurement and management of materials, packaging, and services for European manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include coordinating procurement activities, supporting site managers and buyers, optimizing procurement and raw material management, updating policies and procedures, and cultivating sourcing strategies to ensure quality, delivery, innovation, and cost-effectiveness while minimizing supply risks.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement integrated Procurement Sourcing Strategies for optimal value and efficiency.
• Set and achieve cost reduction targets through cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with regional Procurement Teams/Directors for global sourcing strategies.
• Lead sourcing strategy development and execution across all categories.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and administer team performance and development plans.
• Establish and maintain a Supplier Scorecard Program.
• Improve supplier safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Engage in New Product Development initiatives collaboratively.
• Act as the primary contact for procurement-related matters.
• Oversee contract development and administration.
• Conduct rigorous negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Ensure efficient processing of purchase orders and invoices.
• Monitor market conditions and implement tactical strategies.
• Develop and track Procurement KPIs and Scorecards.
• Provide insights to stakeholders and Executive Leadership Team on market conditions.
• Engage with departments to enhance procurement policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and communicate policies, procedures, and programs as needed.
