Broadcom Inc has a job opening for a Field Applications Engineer (AE) in the San Jose Bay area of California.

The AE will provide technical support at customers for optical and magnetic isolation across the Western region of the United States.

Support the design-in of Avago's automotive isolation product offering at customers.
Work jointly with R&D and Product Engineering to resolve technical issues during and after design in activities.
Provide training for internal and external customers.
Determine trends and growth drivers Broadcom should be targeting in the automotive isolation markets

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher), 8+ years experience using isolation in electric vehicles, battery management systems, inverters, on board charging, motor control, or similar systems.

The ideal candidate should also have experience in digital, analog and gate drive isolation designs and applications.
Able to develop and present technical and training materials.

The job will require some travel within the Western United States as well as occasional travel outside the Western US.

Compensation and Benefits
OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents.
