Description

As the Project Derbyshire Digital Lead, you will work in partnership with People Services Teams and the ICB Digital Office across Derbyshire and with the support of NHSE and NHSBA you will coordinate and facilitate the digital transformation and improvement across the People Services functions.


The work programme aims to optimise the way all parts of the Derbyshire System utilise ESR and to help Providers to get ready for a new NHS Workforce IT solution (ESR replacement) from 2025 onwards.

Additionally, the postholder will support Providers to consolidate, optimise and enhance across all their people management systems.


This is a project management role and requires planning, facilitation and supporting all parts of the system to progress together.

The role will also define the delivery approach required to ensure successful completion of the project and secure stakeholder buy-in for the approach.


As the Project Derbyshire Lead you will facilitate and coordinate the digital improvement programme which is agreed with all Derbyshire NHS partners.


  • Project manage the delivery of the digital road map implementation across all Derbyshire NHS partners.
  • Deliver end to end system improvements across Derbyshire.
  • Manage the programme and project reports, the governance framework, engagement with key stakeholders, and documents.
  • Identify and monitor project benefits and financial efficiencies and bring improvement deliverables for all providers.
  • Coordinate the Project Delivery Board and reporting into the People Services Collaborative Delivery Board.
  • Drive workforce improvement projects in alignment with the strategic workforce goals.
  • Provide focussed pieces of work on specific areas, as necessary, with the direct support from Provider Leads.
  • Project Manage the daytoday management and leadership of the programme of work.
  • Identify and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Engage with assurance reviews and support action on recommendations. Organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews, as required.
  • Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
