The Older Peoples Community Mental Health Team is looking for a Community Mental Health Nurse who is keen to be part of developing an innovative and forward-looking service. You will need to be passionate about care of the older adult with mental health needs, hold excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the community setting.
Within this role, the post-holder will directly contribute to safe, efficient and person-centred care, treatment and interventions which will require you to work throughout the North Perthshire locality. This will be inclusive of providing mental health liaison support within residential/nursing care homes and community hospital inpatient wards within the locality.
This post will involve travel across North Perthshire.
You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
