- Manage, adjust and assess claims within own defined authority.
- Establish file strategies and settle claims in accordance with policy terms.
- Ensure large / complex claims are identified and escalated to claims management.
- Broker and client engagement as required.
- Demonstrate good vendor / expert management.
- Comply with internal procedures, Lloyd's Principles and all regulatory and statutory requirements relating to claims handling and company procedures.
- Attend market claims meetings as required.
- Regular engagement and providing claim support to the underwriting teams and claims management.
- Understand and adhere to KPI targets / performance measures.
- Other tasks / duties / projects can be expected and as required.
- 2-5 years of first party claims handling experience within in the London Market.
- Demonstrating technical understanding of claims processes and policy interpretation.
- Able to handle a diverse range of claims and responsibilities.
- Experience managing Lawyers, Loss Adjusters and other vendors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team environment whilst being self-motivated and performance driven.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
- Insurance qualifications / certificates or progression towards are an advantage.
