THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Supervisor with Electrical Bias to work a permanent day shift on a permanent contract.

This role is based in the Durham area. The position will see you work within a high-volume manufacturingenvironment.
The business is family owned and its roots stretch back over 180 years.

The site at Gateshead has received well over £4 million of investment in recent weeks, through the installation of new state of the art production lines and new machinery.

THE ROLE
Working to manage maintenance activities across the site
Creating TPM's and managing the maintenance process
Delivering planned and reactive maintenance
Managing a small team
Ensuring maintenance activities comply with H&S
Developing continuous improvement initiatives to develop the site
Maintaining automated and semi-automated production lines

THE PERSON
Recognised engineering electrical apprenticeship or similar qualification.

  • 5 years' engineering Supervisory experience
Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
Fault finding skills on automation systems.
Experience with AC/DC drives.
Understanding of PLC's.
18th edition IEE reg's Desirable.
Able to test & inspect fixed wiring & equipment installations.
Cable & Containment selection experience.
Install, Build/rebuild of equipment projects.
Site & equipment (electrical) responsibility.
Experience in PPM and fault finding on hydraulics and pneumatics systems on modern machinery and equipment.
Electrical knowledge
Using computer systems.
Management ability
Sound maintenance / engineering experience in a production environment, ideally a heavy engineering environment.
A driving licence is essential.

THE PACKAGE
The annual salary for the role is £41, This is a day shift only role - 6am-3pm/4pm (40-hour week)
31 days holiday including bank holidays
Company pension matched up to 5%
Production/Performance bonus - up to 10% of earnings
