    Support the achievement of the Clinical Division's key performance targets and work in liaison with other clinical divisions and partner agencies to share best practice.

    The post holder will have overall responsibility for the management of divisional nursing services. This post provides senior clinical leadership for nursing and supports operational management within the division.

    The post holder will lead in the delivery of excellent nursing care to ensure that local objectives align to the Trust's Clinical Strategy.

    The post holder takes a trust wide lead in one/or more of the corporate nursing priority as negotiated with the Chief Nursing and Deputy Director of Nursing.

    Manage relevant practice development resources or other specialist nursing resource as required.

    Review local organisational structure, ensure each senior role has clarity, responsibility and accountability and these are understood by all staff.

    Oversee timely and effective recruitment to reduce reliance on temporary staffing.
    Ensure all staff are up to date with mandatory training and appraisal.

    Through the senior divisional team, monitor staff performance and implement corrective action when required i.e., disciplinary procedures, sickness absence management, and grievance procedures
    Jointly with the clinical director have responsibility for ensuring quality impact assessments of cost improvement plans are undertaken.
    Identify specific areas for service improvement and lead on any required business cases and change management.

    Provide advice and support relating to service delivery that enhances patient care and promotes the wellbeing and safety of service users and staff.

    Embed the Trust's Quality Improvement approach and initiatives across the clinical divisions.
    To lead the development and implementation of integrated nursing provision across divisional services
    To support the development and implementation of clinical pathways across divisional services
    To lead on a trust wide nursing strategic priority
    Support the Chief Nurse and Deputy Director of Nursing in developing the profession across the Trust.
    NMC Registration including Management / Leadership Training -portfolio
    Master's Degree level qualification or relevant experience
    Evidence of training in management processes and other HR issues
    Ability to communicate information to senior colleagues in multi-disciplinary and multiagency fora.
