Location - Harrogate

Castle Employment Group are working with a fantastic country inn that is just a quick commute from Harrogate centre and looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join their kitchen team to support the Head Chef in the delivery of the AA Rosette food offering across lunch & dinner services.

With an attractive salary of up to £40,000 plus equally shared service charge along with being paid for every hour you work the suitable chef can also benefit from a free private studio accommodation on site.

The suitable chef would have previous pub/restaurant background and experienced working with fresh locally sourced seasonal menu items.

You would be expected to work a minimum of 45 hours per week over 5 days with food served over lunch times and on evenings.

Due to the location of the venue your own transport would be required regardless of you living on or off site.

Role:

Working closely with the Head Chef in delivering high levels of menu preparation & service across lunch & dinner service
Compliance with all food safety regulations across the kitchen
On occasions working alone in the kitchen or as part of a small team
Training & development of junior team members
Keep up to date with the management of the stock levels in the kitchen
Undertake any duties across the business as directed by the management team

Requirements:

Previous experience working at Sous Chef/Senior Sous Chef or even Head Chef level
NVQ Level 1,2 or equivalent qualifications
Food Safety Level 2 or higher
Passion for working with fresh, local & seasonal produce
Own transport due to the location of the venue

Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
