Our client, a market leading and rapidly growing specialist within the engineering sector, is currently looking to recruit an experience Credit Control Team Leader to join their talented and growing Credit Team within the head office Finance Department.
Leading a team within the Credit Control function, this role has responsibility for managing a large and diverse debtors ledger whilst utilising exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to direct the team and build effective and productive relationshipswith both internal and external stakeholder of varying levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of an assigned team to deliver an excellent credit control service, ensuring client payments are received as per pre agreed contractual terms and conditions including
- Daily banking and cash receipting
- Interaction with clients to secure timely payment
- Cash forecasting
- Debtors' ledger management
- Invoice query management
- Ensuring that the team meets or exceeds targets and SLAs
- Drive and measure team performance including monitoring KPIs
- Collate, analyse, and report on debtor data to Senior Management
- Handson management of complex issues or escalated matters, liaising with internal teams and clients as necessary to ensure and effective resolution
- Continuously look to improve processes and performance to ensure high levels of service and productivity
- Assist with development of team's technical and softer skills
Desired Experience / Attributes:
- Proven experience in a Credit Control role with leadership responsibility
- Prior experience of an allround Credit Control environment including all aspects of debtor management and cash receipting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset
- High attention to detail
- Good Excel skills and a working knowledge of accounting systems
